About Dr. Zimmerman

Edward M. Zimmerman, MD, graduated with departmental honors in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University and has a Masters in Physiology from Georgetown University.  He received his medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, after which he completed a three-year residency in Family Medicine in Beaver, Pennsylvania, with a heavy emphasis on surgical procedures, emergency room and urgent care medicine.  As faculty of that residency, he introduced the first outpatient CO2 laser to Western PA.

 He is a Fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery since 1994; member of the International Society of Laser Surgery; member of both the American and European Academies of Cosmetic Surgery and the American College of Phlebology.  He has received the prestigious Award for Academic Excellence in Cosmetic Surgery Education from the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.  Dr. Z is currently serving as the President of the American Board of Laser Surgery.  He received the “Best of Las Vegas” award for Cosmetic Surgery for 2009.

 For over a decade, Dr. Zimmerman has cared for the cosmetic needs of the people of Las Vegas, performing in-office laser and liposuction procedures and more.  His current faculty appointments include Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine and the National Procedures Institute.  He has lectured nationally and internationally for nearly two decades and hosted hundreds of physicians for preceptorships in his state of the art office.  He is a life-long student, teacher and innovator who has a passion for Cosmetic Surgery.
